What: The game gets the Pac-10 Conference runner-up and third or fourth pick among Big 12 teams.

Big 12 outlook: Right now, it looks like Oklahoma State (9-3).

Pac-10 outlook: Probably Oregon (9-3).

When/Where: Dec. 23, 5 p.m. / Qualcomm Stadium    TV: ESPN.

What: The game has the second pick from the Mountain West Conference to play a seventh-place Pac-10 team or a Western Athletic Conference team.

MWC outlook: TCU (10-2) is highly likely to make its second Poinsettia appearance in three seasons. Utah (12-0) likely is headed to a BCS game, and Brigham Young (10-2) is probable for the Las Vegas Bowl again.

Pac-10/WAC outlook: The Pac-10 won't have seven eligible teams this year, so the Poinsettia will turn to the WAC and hope to get Boise State (12-0). The WAC will determine where the Broncos go and may want the matchup against TCU in San Diego. Nevada (7-5) also is a possibility.
